The Lost Girl of Ürgüp

Set in the magical yet harsh landscape of Cappadocia, in an old neighborhood of Ürgüp, this story tells the tragic tale of two people who embark on a quest for a secret hidden beneath the earth. One of our main characters is a woman who has lived in Germany for years and returned to her hometown; the other is a local man who runs a cave hotel inherited from his grandfather. The story unfolds in the local dialect of Nevşehir, in a warm but dark atmosphere. As the pair pursue a secret passage discovered within the walls of an old Byzantine church, they draw closer to each other and to the dark secrets of the past.
